All melodic punkrockfans out there, ‘be exited’, cause that’s what we are after listening to the debut album of the Canadian punkrockers THIS IS A STANDOFF.
A name that’s probably pretty new to most of you, but unexperienced is everything these guys are NOT. Havin’ toured all over the world many many times with BELVEDERE , it seemed nothing but logical to Steve and co to form a new band after the demise of Belvedere. A whole set of songs was written and before havin’ released one single thing, This Is A Standoff already went on tour through Europe in April of this year to show they are really serious about this! The debut album ‘be exited’ was recorded and mastered during the last couple of months and is one bomb of a punkrockalbum. Fast, technical but above all that full of great melodies and harmonies. The way melodic punkrock is at it’s best! Belvedere is dead, long live THIS IS STANDOFF!
