Staring down the chaos of the post-pandemic world, LOTUS funnelled years of tension, exhaustion and turmoil into ‘Forever Martial’, a brand-new full-length album. Recorded by Thomas Valkiers at Hightime Studio, the band embraced a warmer, more analogue sound while sharpening the core characteristics that have defined them for over a decade: intensity, honesty and a total lack of excess fat.

Where ‘The Road To Calvary’ dissected personal loss and grief, ‘Forever Martial’ widens the lens, tearing into the oppressive machinery of modern existence: the grind of economic hardship, the hollow promises of political actors and the psychological collapse eroding our social fabric. Mixed by Tim De Gieter (Much Luv) and mastered by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden Recording Studio, the album is an unfiltered presentation in true LOTUS form: uncompromising, emotionally scorching and ever direct.

Known for their fierce live shows and deep roots in the Belgian underground, LOTUS continues to bridge metallic hardcore, punk urgency and mid-tempo heaviness with a sense of violent resignation.
